After we reported last week that Swiss TV has used the Nazi-Germany Anthem during the Euro 2008 football championship, we thought it would be just fair to inform you on another slip during the event - this time by German State TV ARD.
The ARD seemingly wanted to demonstrated a new way of creativity when - during one of their most popular news magazines this weekend - they showed a new combination of the colors within the German flag. Officials apologized for this “unacceptable behavior” and said the cause was “a combination of carelessness and technical problems“

Well, if German State TV won’t know how the German flag looks like, nobody will.
